AURORA’S WATER WINS THREE-STATE TASTE TEST

Aurora Water drowned the competition at the recent Rocky Mountain Section of the American Water Works Association taste test when judges ruled it had better tasting water than numerous other metro area water utilities, including Denver Water and Centennial Water and Sanitation District.

The competition was open to AWWA utility members in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. The criteria was easy: which water tastes best. To the panel of five judges that included news media and water taste test professionals, Aurora Water had the best appearance, smell, taste and overall impression.

“Every day, we have more than 400 employees committed to making sure our residents have the best water around,” said Greg Baker, manager of Public Relations for Aurora Water. “It’s fun to know their efforts are paying off.”

Aurora Water will now represent the Rocky Mountain Section of the American Water Works Association at the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE) “Best of the Best” Taste Test in Chicago in June 2010.
