AURORA YOUTH COMMISSION

Aurora is looking for involved young people wanting to make a difference in their community. If that’s you, we’ve got a great opportunity for you.

If you are between the ages of 14 and 21 and have a yen for politics, policy-making and fast-moving issues that concern your generation, now is the time to join the Aurora Youth Commission and make your voice heard.

Aurora needs five new members to advise City Council, the City Manager, the Director of the Department of Library Services and the Recreation Division regarding the interests of the youth in Aurora. Give us your ideas, concerns and suggestions for a better Aurora for you and your friends.

This committee has 16 members between the ages of 14 and 20, and six members 21 years of age or older.  Members must be Aurora residents, attend school within one of the Aurora school districts, a private school or are home-schooled.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Aurora Municipal Center.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office on the first Floor in the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy, online at www.auroragov.org, (click on Residents/Volunteer).
