The City of Aurora Volunteer Center has an extensive volunteer matching data base that includes everything from delivering meals to the home bound, tutoring children, being an animal companion or planting a garden. If you enjoy helping at special events, we have several throughout the year for you to choose from. The Aurora Volunteer Center has several volunteer flyers that you can print.  The Lend A Hand: City of Aurora Volunteer Guide provides a list of volunteer positions with the City of Aurora.  The Lend A Hand: Community Volunteer Guide provides a list of volunteer opportunities with nonprofit organizations that serve Aurora.  Finally, the Fall 2008 Volunteer Guide includes a description of events in Aurora during September and October for you to choose from.  The City of Aurora has 29 boards, committees, commissions and/or authorities made up of citizen volunteers who provide their point of view on city operations and the city council’s decision-making process. The Volunteer Center is a program of the Cultural Services Division, Library, Recreation & Cultural Services Department, City of Aurora. The Cultural Services Division is the largest single provider of arts and culture in the City of Aurora offering programs in performing arts, fine arts, history, public art, special events and festivals, and community volunteerism.
