AURORA, Colo. – The Aurora Public Library this fall is hosting free job classes related to resume writing and interviewing at the Aurora Central Library, 14949 E. Alameda Parkway.
The Resume Workshop, offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 29, Nov. 3 or Dec. 1, will feature human resources professionals discussing how to create or improve a resume, how to understand what recruiters are looking for in a resume and why one resume doesn’t fit all. The workshop also will address passive recruiting and why “key words” are so important in a resume.
Bring a draft of a resume or list of work history; individual critiquing and reviewing of resume drafts will be available.
The Interviewing Workshop, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 1, Nov. 5 or Dec. 3, will provide tools to prepare for the next interview. This workshop taught by corporate human resources professionals will discuss how to answer the tough interview questions, how to discover the recruiter’s strategy and mission during the interview process, and how to build confidence and feel more comfortable during an interview.
The workshops are free, but registration is required. To sign up, call 303-739-6630 or visit auroralibrary.org.
