Submissions for Gateway to the Rockies exhibit due Oct. 2

 

AURORA, Colo. – The Aurora Artists Guild currently is accepting entries for the 15th Annual Gateway to the Rockies Art Exhibit, which will take place Nov. 13 to Dec. 19 at the Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway.

Cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded for “Best of Show” in the paintings, photography and miniatures categories. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, third place and honorable mention as well as given for the Aurora’s First Lady Award and the Kate Tauer Award.

Entries in the form of paintings, photographs and miniatures must be postmarked by Oct. 2. The Gateway to the Rockies Art Exhibit is presented by the Aurora Artists Guild and co-sponsored by the Aurora History Museum and the City of Aurora Cultural Services Division.

About the Aurora History Museum
The Aurora History Museum is a service of the City of Aurora’s Cultural Services Division. The museum at 15051 E. Alameda Parkway is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the museum’s permanent and rotating exhibits is free.
