Established in 1982, Aurora’s municipal television station KACT-TV strives to serve all the citizens of Aurora by providing unique high quality programming, reflecting diverse interests, and focusing on government and community issues.

Owned and operated by the City of Aurora, KACT-TV is transmitted over Comcast's cable system in Aurora and is received by approximately 60,000 households. Surveys indicate that approximately 4,000 households view programming on the station each day. KACT-TV operates from its main studios at the Aurora Municipal Center.

Aurora 8

Video programming airs 24 hours a day on Channel 8 on the Comcast system. KACT-TV's schedule includes a diverse line-up of programming, from vintage movies to German cooking to the Aurora News Weekly.

 

Channel 22

This 24-hour-a-day channel, which serves as the Community Bulletin Board of Aurora, displays City of Aurora job listings, open volunteer committee positions, special events, senior activities, Aurora school happenings and special events.

Channel 22, also known as Aurora FYI, is the perfect place for nonprofits to advertise events and announcements. The service is simple, it works and it's free. Fax your announcement to 303-739-6582.

 

Channel 55

Channel 55 is the "sister station" to Aurora Channel 8. Here you'll find some of the most popular locally produced programs as well as a variety of seasonal, multi-cultural, educational and arts programming.
