City council members often hold town meetings to help keep citizens and business owners updated on new developments, city activities and other areas of interest. City residents and business owners are encouraged to attend.
Each council member sits on three of nine policy committees, which are open to the public. These committees research and take positions on matters that will come before the full city council.
