Election of Mayor and City Council Members

The mayor and city council elections are held on the first Tuesday of November, in odd-numbered years. The mayor and city council are elected to four-year, staggered terms.

City council is composed of council members for wards I, II, III, IV, V and VI, four council members at large and the mayor. At one election, council members for wards I, II and III and two at-large seats are elected. At the next election, the mayor, council members for wards IV, V and VI and two at-large seats are elected.

In November 2010, Aurora voters will elect new council members for the following seats:

None.

 

Elections of school board members for the Aurora Public School District and the Cherry Creek School District are conducted at the same time as the Aurora municipal election. County clerks are responsible for school elections.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
Coordinated Election
Tuesday, November 2, 2010

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Coordinated Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

 

 

There will be Precinct Polling Places, Vote Centers and Early Voting sites open for the 2010 Election.

Arapahoe County Mail-In-Ballot Tracking

 

Remember, the Affidavit of Voter on your Mail or Mail-In Ballot Envelope MUST BE SIGNED by the voter. If not signed by the voter, the mail or mail-in ballot cannot be counted, according to law. Please use Black or Blue ink or black pencil ONLY to mark your Ballot.

All VOTED ballots must be returned to the Clerk’s Office or one of the designated drop-off locations by 7pm on Election Day, November 2, 2010, in order for them to be counted. Ballots received after 7pm on Election Day will not be counted, regardless of postmark.

Sample ballots will be available at the Election Office and Replacement Sites.

REPLACEMENT BALLOTS: Any active elector who spoils, defaces, or does not receive a mail ballot may obtain other ballots, one at a time, not exceeding three in all. For instructions on how to receive a replacement ballot, you may visit one of the Replacement Ballot sites listed below or contact your County’s Election Office.
