Meeting Minutes 11/08/2007

Attendance: Sue Way, Wendy Bullock, Suellyn Cota, Gene Jackson, Chloe Johnson, Su Ryden, Shannon Watson-Borden

Absent: Margaret Day, Mary Jeanne Murl

Staff/Guests: Robert Salisbury, Alice Lee Main

1. Board approved minutes of October 11, 2007 Board meeting as read.

2. Events Committee Report and Activities:
a) The Board briefly discussed the 2008 Gala and decided that the gala program format
would be essentially the same as previous years.

3. Operations Committee Report and Activities:
a) Committee reported that funding for the marketing position would be pursued for inclusion
in the 2009 City budget, as was suggested by a City Council member.
b) Board discussed agenda items for the 2008 Board retreat in January. Retreat agenda
items will include the funding of the marketing position, review of 2007 accomplishments,
Board participation requirements and a review of the EFC program.

4. Fundraising Committee Report and Activities:
a) Su Ryden reported that there were only five EFC Charter memberships still available.
b) The Committee will be hosting an EFC event during the run of A Christmas Carol. The
event will be on November 30^th and EFC members will be invited to bring guests and their
families to the event. Board members were encourage to bring guests as well.

5. Recruitment Committee Report and Activities:
a) Gene Jackson and Suellyn Cota volunteered to interview Board applicants.

6. Election of 2008 Board Officers

a) Motion to elect Gene Jackson, Aurora Fox Arts Center Board Chairperson
MOTION BY: Shannon Watson-Borden SECONDED BY: Su Ryden
MOTION PASSED.

b) Motion to elect Chloe Johnson, Aurora Fox Arts Center Board Vice-Chairperson
MOTION BY: Wendy Bullock SECONDED BY: Shannon Watson-Borden
MOTION PASSED

c) Motion to elect Su Ryden, Aurora Fox Arts Center Board Secretary
MOTION BY: Wendy Bullock SECONDED BY: Chloe Johnson
MOTION PASSED
