Meeting Minutes 03/08/2007

Attendance: Sue Way, Ron Eccles, Wendy Bullock, Loretta Lindsey, Gene Jackson,
Su Ryden

Absent: Margaret Day, Chloe Johnson, Mary Jeanne Murl

Staff: Robert Salisbury, Alice Lee Main

1. Board approved minutes of February 8, 2007 Meeting as read.

2. Operations Committee Report and Activities:
a) Alice Lee Main provided update on 2007 budget issues and status of add-ons to 2008
budget, indicating that resolution of 2007 budget issues have been delayed due to current
SCFD audit activity.
b) Operations Committee chair Sue Way reported that the committee is working with staff in
reviewing and revising the 3 year Aurora Fox business plan.
c) Board reviewed the results of two board applicant interviews.
Board approved motion to recommend the applicants for appointment to the
Aurora Fox Arts Center board.

MOTION BY: Su Ryden SECONDED BY: Gene Jackson

MOTION PASSED.

3. Fundraising Committee Report and Activities:
a) The February 23 Equity Founders Circle fund raising event was very successful with three
new charter members signing up.
b) The committee will hold another EFC event at the opening of “A Year with Frog and Toad”
on June 15.
c) The board thanked Su Ryden and Ron Eccles for planning and hosting the event.

4. Events Committee Report and Activities:
a) The committee will be meeting before the April board meeting to begin planning for the
2007 Annual Gala.
b) The committee handed out flyers on upcoming Aurora Chamber events and encouraged
board members to attend and promote the Aurora Fox.

5. Recruitment Committee Report and Activities:
a) Staff asked board members for ideas on recruitment materials and activities. Suggestions
included contacting groups, personal phone calls, and special annual events to recognize
as well as recruit volunteers.

6. Presentations, Other Reports, New Business, Wrap-up:
a) Loretta Lindsey provided a presentation on the Citizens’ Advisory Budget Committee.

7. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
