Meeting Minutes 07/12/2007

Attendance: Sue Way, Suellyn Cota, Margaret Day, Ron Eccles, Gene Jackson, Su Ryden,
Wendy Bullock

Absent: Mary Jeanne Murl, Shannon Watson-Borden, Chloe Johnson

Staff/Guests: Robert Salisbury

1. Board approved minutes of June 14, 2007 Meeting as read.

2. Events Committee Report and Activities:
a) The Committee reviewed and discussed the schedule of Gala activities and Board
Gala assignments.
b) Board Member Su Ryden volunteered to contact media personalities for the Gala MC.
c) Board members reported on their silent auction acquisitions.

3 Operations Committee Report and Activities:
a) Board Member Su Ryden reported that the 2007 Cultural Services Division budget issues
have yet to be resolved, and that a group of concerned Aurora citizens would in a few
days be sending a letter to the Aurora City Council requesting that they assist in the
resolution of this on-going budget issue. As a cut in the Cultural Service Division budget
could severely affect Aurora Fox programs as well, Ms. Ryden asked the Aurora Fox
Board to endorse the citizen’s request and to individually write letters to City Council
requesting their help in this issue.

Board approved motion to support the request to the Aurora City Council to restore,
for 2007 and future years, the approximately $140,000 cut in the Cultural Services
Division budget.

MOTION BY: Su Ryden SECONDED BY: Gene Jackson

MOTION PASSED.

4. Fundraising Committee Report and Activities:
a) The Committee reported that there will be EFC activities during the Gala and that the final
activity for EFC membership will be held during “A Christmas Carol.”

5. Recruitment Committee Report and Activities:
a) No Report.

6. Meeting adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
