The 14.5-acre park is accessed from Iliff Avenue, ¼ mile east of Chambers Road. MAP The park can also be accessed from the Cherry Creek Spillway Trail or from the Horseshoe Park section of the Toll Gate Creek Trail.

Wheel Park Facilities:
- Skateboard Bowl (18,200 Square feet)
- Bicycle Freestyle Ramps (60 feet x 120 feet, filled with 2 six foot quarter pipes, 1 eight foot quarter pipe, spine, 2 grind rails, fun box, jump box, and a six foot radius wedge)
- BMX – Bicycle Motocross (over 1,000 lineal feet)
- Remote Control Car Track (80 feet x 120 feet)
- In-line Hockey Rinks (3)
- Central Shelter (electrical power)
- Parking (150 cars)

Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. – sunset (dusk).

WHEEL PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

Skatepark

1. BICYCLES ARE PROHIBITED.
2. SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The use of safety equipment such as elbow and kneepads, wrist pads and gloves is strongly recommended at all times. Use of this facility may result in serious injury.
3. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES.
4. Skateboards, roller-skates, and in-line skates only. NO BICYCLES OR SCOOTERS.
5. Use caution – weather conditions may cause unsafe surfaces.
6. No food, beverages or glass containers are permitted on the skating area.
7. For your safety and that of others, skate under control at all times.
8. The park is open for drop-in use except when city sponsored events are scheduled.
9. Inappropriate behavior may be cause for permanent dismissal from the facility.

 

BMX Track

1. All motorized vehicles are allowed only on road surfaces and are not allowed on the track at any time. (Authorized security and maintenance vehicles only are allowed.)
2. Bicycle Riders only allowed on the track.
3. BICYCLE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
4. SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. Bike helmet with permanent strap, mouth guard, enclosed shoes, long pants, long sleeved shirts, knee and elbow pads are required. Use of this facility may result in serious injury.
5. Bicycle must be safe and in good working condition.
6. Use caution – weather conditions may cause unsafe surfaces.
7. Older riders yield right-of-way to younger riders. More skilled riders yield right-of-way to less skilled riders, except during modos.
8. All riders must travel in the same direction around the track.
9. Do not stop in the middle of the track or where visibility is limited.
10. Maintain control of your bicycle at all times and ride within your skill level.
11. Food and beverages are not allowed on the track and glass containers of all types are not allowed in the park.

In-Line Hockey

1. SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
2. SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. Helmet, elbow, shin and kneepads, gloves and mouth guard are required. Use of this facility may result in serious injury.
3. This facility is for skating only.
4. Use caution – weather conditions may cause unsafe surfaces.
5. No food, beverages or glass containers are allowed within the rink areas.
6. No pushing, shoving, checking or aggressive physical play.
7. For safety reasons, hockey balls are recommended instead of pucks.
8. Courts are open for drop-in play except when city sponsored events are scheduled or for permitted rentals. For rental information or event schedule call the City of Aurora Sports Office. (303) 326-8700
