Picnic Shelters of all sizes are available for rent throughout the Parks and Open Space system. The rental season is generally mid-May through the end of October. Restrooms may not be available outside of the rental season.

Coal Creek Arena is available for events requiring a small (150 feet wide by 375 feet long) arena facility. Located on Sixth Avenue, 2 miles east of Airport Boulevard, the arena is adjacent to the Sand Creek Regional Greenway.

Golf Courses and related clubhouse facilities are available for tournaments and other types of rentals.

Special Events can be accommodated in many of Aurora’s Parks, Reservoirs and along several trails. A Special Event application is required if you wish to charge admission, are planning on having vendors, are inviting the general public, or if the event will have an effect on Department staff beyond standard maintenance considerations or will affect the use of the site by the general public. Our staff will be happy to assist you in determining the type of permits and the best site for your special event.
