An abundance of recreational opportunities!
Aurora Reservoir offers fishing, sailing, non-motorized boating, windsurfing, a seasonal swim beach, SCUBA area, archery range, and large group picnic shelters. Stroll or ride your bike on the 8 mile multi-use, concrete trail that circles the reservoir.

The Swim Beach is now open. Lifeguards on duty from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., weather dependent.

Just 2 Ό miles east of E-470 and south of Quincy Avenue, the reservoir is located off of Powhaton Rd, 1 Ό miles south of Quincy Avenue. MAP

**Please note the walk-in gates at Aurora Reservoir open a half-hour after the main gate and close a half-hour prior to the main gate closing. In June, walk-in gates will open at 5:30 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.

2010 Aurora Trails Day – June 5, 2010 Participate in the Trails Day 5K on a certified course. Registration is required. For more information call 303.739.7161.

 

Triathlons and Open Water Swims: Our exceptionally clean water and great facilities make the Aurora Reservoir “THE” place for triathlons and open water swims. Training swims are also scheduled throughout the summer. 2010 Schedule

SEASONAL HOURS of OPERATION and FEE SCHEDULE

 

Shelter Reservations and Special Events – The picnic shelters and portions of the park are available for rent. Large events also require a permit.

Fish Bag and Possession Limits

2 – Trout any size
5 – Walleye 18 inches or longer, only one walleye longer than 21” can be taken per day
5 – Largemouth Bass 15 inches or longer (see note below)
5 – Smallmouth Bass 15 inches or longer (see note below)
(Only 5 Bass – combination Smallmouth and Largemouth – can be taken per day)
10 – Wiper
20 – Crappie
10 – Channel/Blue Catfish
20 – Yellow Perch
