Emergency Grants

 
 

Emergency Single-Family Repair Program

 

The Emergency Single-Family Repair Program provides loans and/or grants to address urgent needs. Depending on the type of repairs, homeowners can receive up to $5,000 in grants and additional loans if they use the funds to correct conditions that pose a hazardous situation for the occupant’s health, safety, or well-being. Replacement of items such as malfunctioning furnaces and water heaters, broken sewer lines and water mains.

$70,000 to 80,000 annually

Goal:

Emergency repairs to 100 homes annually

Applicant Eligibility:

Applicant must own and occupy the home; and meet HUD’s low/moderate income guidelines.
