You can quickly and easily purchase a license for your pet and renew it online. Intact Permits may also be purchased or renewed online.
To begin the process, you should have available the copy of the rabies certificate from your veterinarian for information regarding the rabies tag, vaccine expiration date and your pet’s veterinarian. After completing the online license and/or permit information, You can fax a copy of the rabies certificate to 303-326-8284 attn: Licensing, or mail it to The Aurora Animal Shelter, 15750 E. 32nd Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011-1518.
If your dog or cat has not been spayed or neutered, the Intact Animal Permit must also be renewed. To avoid paying an Intact Animal Permit fee, proof of spay/neuter surgery for your pet must be received by the Animal Care Division before attempts to renew a license online.
To renew a license online, you need the following information found on the renewal letter and/or receipt issued when the initial license was purchased.
- Pet’s License number
- Person ID number
- Information found on the rabies certificate issued by the veterinarian when your pet was inoculated.
