Aurora Illusions Gymnastics - Dream - Believe - Achieve
The Aurora Illusions Gymnastics Team is a recreational competitive team that offers
competitive gymnastics in the C.A.R.A. (Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics) Gymnastics League to girls ages 7-18. We believe in providing a program that is for the gymnast, allowing them to have fun
while learning expression and self discovery through the physical and mental challenges of gymnastics.
We strive for a program that differs from others in the area; besides being less expensive and more flexible in the commitment of time, our program provides a positive competitive experience with less pressure. Gymnastics is a year around commitment because of the skill development required. Every girl participates and no team scores are kept, so self improvement and reaching personal goals is the mark of success. With
this format EVERY gymnast is a winner.
Team Levels
Compulsory 4 - C4 Gymnasts are the entry level competitor, good body awareness helps with success in this level as they learn left and right cartwheels, a round-off, back walkover, back extension and other skills to challenge them.
Compulsory 5 - C5 is the second compulsory level and skills get a bit more difficult as well as more fun to do. They perform kips, front and back handsprings, as well as many dance sequences. This level is an important level in any gymnast’s development as they learn several building block skills they will use as long as they are in the sport.
Optionals - Optionals is more what you see on TV where every girl has different music and a different routine. The girls are broken into 4 categories in Optionals, 1-4 with Optional 4 being the highest level. This is where gymnastics gets really fun as the girls perform flips and twists as well as show the grace of the sport.
Pre Team
Pre Team is the precursor to team. It is for girls who are ready to pursue developing their skills in gymnastics more seriously. Tryouts are required.
