Title: A Change of Rules
Media: bronze
Date: 1997
Funding: 1% Art in Public Places Ordinance
Location: Saddle Rock Golf Course, 21705 E. Arapahoe Road

This sculpture series is the first public art commissioned through the City of Aurora Art in Public Places Program. The six life-size bronze sculptures depict American Indians playing Shinny Ball, an historic Native American game that involves using long sticks and a ball made of leather stuffed with feathers. The golf course is an area where nomadic American Indians were thought to have hunted and gathered.
