The Building Codes Division is pleased to announce additional permits now available through Online permits.

Currently we can issue permits online for following types of permits:

1. Furnace replacement
2. Furnace and air conditioning replacement (can include electrical)
3. Water heater replacements
4. Roofing (NOTE: Roofing permits are available for residential (re-roof) only through the Permits Online service). ALL commercial roofing must be reviewed by Zoning / Planning Department prior to the issuance of a permit.
5. Siding
6. Electrical

i. Service upgrades
ii. Branch circuits

Contractors who are registered and licensed with the City of Aurora can apply for permits online. To obtain permits over the Internet, you must register in person at the Building Codes Division and have a valid contractor’s and supervisor’s license.

A representative of this department will meet with you to establish a confidential password, and verify a valid email address. Once you have registered you can then obtain permits on line for the scope of work shown above. Payment must be made by major credit card, (MasterCard, Visa and Discover).
